| Welcome to the October newsletter from Junglefy! |
Junglefy
has been cooking up a storm in Melbourne past few months with projects
in both Green Walls and Green Roofs completed this month.
Melbourne
is truly leading the way for urban sustainable technologies in
Australia and Junglefy is very proud to be part of Melbourne’s quest to
re-invent itself as a truly sustainable city.
In this month’s newsletter we will feature a residential Green Wall
project and give you an update on the completed Venny project.
Taking
a good lead from Melbourne, Sydney is really ramping up its efforts
also to support and facilitate sustainable city living. Junglefy is
pleased to have had the opportunity to take on an active role in this
quest during the Living Green event in October.
We are also very excited to be part of the National Recycling Week where we will exhibit our residential herb wall product ecoVertTM Home, green wall and green roof products as part of a Live Green sustainable house. |

| Project Update |
The Venny
Junglefy
has recently completed the installation of the green roof on The Venny
in Melbourne. This installation has been a collaboration between
Junglefy Pty Ltd, The City of Melbourne, Melbourne University and
Melbourne Water.
The
roof is going to be used by the Melbourne University to conduct trials
on suitable plants species, media mixes and irrigation systems for
green roof applications. Junglefy is involved with the on-going
maintenance of the roof for two years and will be closely involved with
the trials. Updates on the findings will be made available when they
come to hand.
Stay tuned. |

Residential Green Wall
This
green wall is a fantastic example how people can add a lot of greenery
to their gardens/home without compromising much space.
A vertical green wall of this size will have huge visual impact when fully grown (the one pictured has just been planted).
Even
better, when these walls are used to grow edible plants, they don’t
only look beautiful but feed your family fresh, organic vegetables too! |

It's Official
Research
published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health shows
that living near a ‘green space’ has noticeable health benefits.
The
study confirms what we have been saying for years – greenery is
important for health and everyone should have access to high quality,
beautiful and vibrant green spaces.

30 The Bond, Sydney
When
Lend Lease decided to move their headquarters to Sydney (Millers Point)
they consulted their staff with regards their priorities for the
building.
As
a consequence 30 The Bond building has achieved a 5 star ABGR rating by
using chilled beans for cooling, individually operated external shades
to manage heat and solar gain, wintergarden rooms and rooftop gardens
with drought resistant plants that increase biodiversity.
